Regional Transportation Plan Update

The CDTC Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) describes how the region will meet transportation needs into the future.

As the region’s lead agency for transportation planning, CDTC maintains a RTP that is a long-term blueprint for transportation investments throughout the region.

Usually RTPs are conducted every five years and are plans for thirty years into the future, with the participation of dozens of transportation and infrastructure specialists. The plan identifies and analyzes transportation needs of the metropolitan region and creates a framework for project priorities.

The 2020 RTP update was approved by the Board on September 10, 2020 (Resolution 4-2020).
